Direct Sales Industry and the FTC: Don’t Miss This Special Webinar

29946057 - us capitol building at dusk, washington dc, usaIt’s an interesting time to be in the direct sales space. As I’m sure you are aware, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) continues to challenge the way such companies can operate. Neora, a leading provider of high-quality skincare and wellness products, has rejected an offer from the FTC to settle a threatened lawsuit. Furthermore, the company has stepped up to file suit, challenging the agency’s ability to retroactively change the law.

Despite repeated requests, the company claims the FTC has refused to provide it with its own alleged analysis. In Neora’s estimation, the agency is attempting to announce a new retroactive interpretation of how direct selling companies can operate without regard for the facts. To that end, Neora Founder and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Olson believes no direct sales company is safe under the FTC’s new retroactive standards.

“We are an American small business and will take this David and Goliath-like issue and fight for the rights of the men and women who deserve a place in our American economy, and will not be bullied into settling for anything less,” Olson said in a statement.

What does this fight mean to you and your peers in the direct selling niche? Join Neora’s co-CEO Deborah K. Heisz for a webinar June 4 at noon PT and learn how the company is challenging the FTC’s ability to retroactively change the law.
